On behalf of New Jersey Institute of Technology’s fraternities and sororities, we would like to welcome you and are excited that you are interested in one of our organizations!
Your college experience will not be complete without involvement in activities outside of the classroom. Here at NJIT, we help foster future leaders with a wide range of opportunities for leadership with involvement in campus life. One of the greatest experiences for developing leaders for the future is a Fraternity or Sorority.
NJIT Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) organizations have had a long and rich history that expands over 100 years. Fraternity and Sorority Life members strive to be pioneers in their professions and leaders within the community through service, scholarship, and achievement both on and off campus. NJIT prides itself on providing opportunities for it's students to engage and develop, joining FSL is a life-long commitment to those values and those of your chosen organization.

Eligibility Requirements
- A NJIT Matriculated Student
- Completed at least 12 college credit hours
- A 2.5 Cumulative GPA
If you are transferring into NJIT from another college or university, you may join your first semester as long as you have a cumulative 2.5 GPA from your previous institution and NJIT does not clasify you as a first-time freshman.

Complete an interest form and come out to the Fraternity and Sorority Life Events at the beginning of each semester.
Important Information
It is important to understand the differences within the organizations that are available to you on the NJIT campus. There are organizations that pose as recognized organizations and we would like to educate you on those groups.
The following organizations are Banned by New Jersey Institute of Technology. Joining banned or unrecognized organizations poses a serious risk to you as an individual and the students involved.
- Iota Kappa Phi Fraternity
- Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity

The university has established policies and procedures to ensure the safety of its students and limit disruption to the educational and research mission of the university, including those related to recognizing organizations. The university expects its students to adhere to these policies and procedures. Accordingly, no student shall join, affiliate or accept membership with any banned organization.
