Beware of 学费 Payment Scams

Scammers may approach you with offers to pay your tuition, usually in exchange for personal information or a "small fee." These offers are fraudulent and can lead to financial loss or identity theft.

Verify Unsolicited Offers: Any offer to pay your tuition should be approached with 谨慎. Verify the legitimacy of such offers through official university channels before proceeding.

Official Payment Channels: Always use the university’s official payment system for your tuition fees. Be wary of requests to use alternative payment methods like wire transfers, gift cards, stolen credit cards or cryptocurrency.

Protect your username/Password: Do not share your username and password with 任何人.

The Office of the Bursar is located in the Student Mall under the parking deck on 峰会圣.  You may access the office by using parking Lot 3.

If you have any billing questions, please visit our office in the Student Mall.  We can be reached via email (bursar@azarnewsonline.com) or call us at 973-596-2877.

The Office of the Bursar is open Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 4:30pm.  At the start of each semester, the office will be open some late nights to accommodate students.  Holiday and Summer schedule may affect hours of operation.

 

Petty cash is disbursed between 9:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday.  Hours are subject to change during the Holidays.  请 make sure your form is complete with authorized signatures, as well as original receipts.

NJIT accepts cash (for coins - up to $5 rolled), check (return check fees apply), and money order. You may also send a check or money order via mail. Credit cards are accepted through our payment portal by logging in to MyNJIT.

The purpose of this fee is to continue to help support a portion of the costs associated with an array of varied, but integral services and projects that directly affect our students. All students are charged the University Fee.

The student will be subject to a $500 Payment Penalty Fee.

Accounts will be charged the $500 payment penalty if they are not fully covered, partial payments are not considered fully covered. 请 review the NJIT Payment Policy for 学费 and Fees.

NJIT Policy is that all students must be paid in full to have a hold removed.

No, late registration fees may not be removed. You may contest it by filling out a hardship request form.

All refund checks are mailed to the student address on file in their MyNJIT account. Checks may not be picked up.

Refunds are based upon the academic calendar, please contact the Registrar's office.

Students are responsible for all courses registered for and not dropped. You may contact the Registrars Office and/or complete a hardship appeal.

PETTY CASH

  • Petty Cash Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am-3:30 (Reduced Days & Hours during summer)
  • The person receiving petty cash cannot be the same as the approver
  • The person picking up the petty cash cannot be the same as the approver
  • Approver must be a supervisor at least one level up.
  • Online expenses over 60 days must be reimbursed via chrome river
  • All other expenses over 90 days must be reimbursed via chrome river
  • Petty cash is limited to $150 a day, per person, per index.
  • Pick-up person is required to show school ID
  • All receipts and signatures must be originals
  • The Petty Cash form must be completed in its entirety. 
  • Students get reimbursed for taxes; unless the expense is for food.
